Villa Engan, Oslo
The main premise for the design of this modest family house has been to utilise the inherent qualities of the place; the post-glacial rock formations and the view.

The programme is ordinary, with more public functions on the ground floor and more private spaces above. The lower parts of the structure are cast directly onto the rock, with a timber volume above, a light, stiff hybrid structure with an internal plywood cladding and fibre cement sheet externally.
