The new urn garden lies in exposed sloping terrain at Klemetsrud cemetery. The area forms a natural contrast to the existing classically geometrical layout of the site. A small brook and a large rock separate the new garden from the existing site. The project was planned to increase the number of urn graves from 350 to at least 500, and in fact the area can now fit 615 urn graves. The urn graves are placed on both sides of a universally accessible walkway, and are surrounded by basic planting, rocks and birch trees.
