Røros Hotel have finally realised their idea of building a spa. The hotel is within the conservation zone of UNESCO-town Røros, and the spa extension is mostly located in the ground, set into a steep slope. The spa has reverberations of the mining history of the city – shafts of light, ponds and fire and streaks of colour in the darkness.

The main spaces are in in-situ concrete, with additions of natural materials like wood and wool.
