Open-air event space, Norsk Folkemuseum, Oslo
The new open-air event space at Norsk Folkemuseum can gather 5000 spectators for performances or free play - without dominating the existing museum facilities.

The new event space sits in the middle of the open-air museum of vernacular culture. It consists of a new earthwork amphitheatre with curved granite steps bounded by grass, a stage area covered by an open structure that can face both ways, and a shallow pool for playing in the summer and skating in the winter.
