The National Association of Norwegian Architects, NAL, is a professional association open to architects with an approved university degree. NAL was established in 1911, and the organization works to promote the understanding of architecture in society, to contribute to a sustainable future, to improve the conditions for Norwegian architectural production and to ensure high quality in architectural practice.
NAL consists of 14 local chapters. In june 2015 NAL had just over 4200 members, including approx. 650 student members.
